I love cheese. Sometimes I think it must be in the DNA with my parents hailing from Wisconsin and all. Gooey on pizza, sprinkled over salads, a hunk of string cheese straight from the refrigerator - and a lovely bite of comfort food, a buttery, crispy-warm grilled cheese straight from the stove. Occasionally I change up the cheeses, or go for a little gourmet "glam" and add a thin slice of tomato to my grilled cheese sandwiches.
Plain ol' grilled cheese without the crust was a favorite of Daniel's early on. In true picky-eater fashion, he drifted from eating them for awhile. We recently tried Kraft American Singles, and an interesting thing happened. My carb-loving discriminating eater started peeling the bread apart to dig out the cheese! Not a total success, but I may start changing up the cheeses or breads, or cut them up into fun shapes or something to see if he will start eating them again.
Win It!
I have two coupons good for one free 12 ounce package of Kraft Singles (any variety). The expiration date is 3/31/2009, so this is going to be a quickie giveaway.

I love cheese.. like really love cheese. It's one of those things you just never get sick of...
My very unhealthy but tasty way to make grilled cheese.. is butter melted in the pan and spread on the bread... 2 pieces of cheese of course... fry it up until golden brown... if it burns, I give it to my husband and start over.
And then of course I get on the Wii Fit for 12 hours to burn off the meal, lol :)

Butter on both sides of bread, cheese in the middle, smack down on a nice hot cast iron skillet. Flip once. Nice and brown, crispy, and gooey cheese~

I like to use the George Foreman and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on the outside of the buttered cheese sandwich. It's nice when we have tomatoes on hand or provolone too.

I love to make grilled cheese with slices of ham inside. I butter both sides of the bread. First I add cheese, than ham, and then another slice of cheese. It tastes so buttery and yummy.

Love to add tuna to our grilled cheese!
We add italian seasoning after applying the butter on the bread.
To be honest, I am not a fan of grilled cheese. I do however make what is cooked like a grilled cheese only with turkey.
I warm the turkey up then I prepare the sandwich similar to a grilled cheese, only I add the turkey and mustard. Pretty much a turkey melt.
