Join Me In A Time Out?

Winter, it's safe to say, has been kicking my butt. We've had multiple household breakdowns, car breakdowns, a bout of family illnesses - all wrapped up in a neat bow with ice storms and snow, and rounds of cold. Spring can't get here fast enough for me.

It was lovely to have a nifty little gift basket arrive on my doorstep. Full of some chocolatey pampering delights: a bath pillow, some bath salts, scented soap and a fragrant tea light. It was also an opportunity to try new Fiber One chewy bars in chocolate mocha flavor. I love chocolate, but am not a coffee drinker so I was initially unsure about the flavor combination for my particular taste buds. There is a pretty good balance between the two, however making for a delicious, chewy sweet snack. Each bar provides 35% of the recommended daily fiber intake and also is a good source of calcium.

Did you know?
- Fiber can help you satisfy your appetite and manage your weight.
- Research suggests that people who have high fiber intakes tend to have healthier body weights.
- Fiber can help keep your digestive system on track.
- 9 out of 10 Americans aren’t getting the recommended amount of fiber.

Do you want to know if you are getting enough fiber? Check out the Fiber-O-Meter at: http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthtool-fiber-meter

Win It!

I have three gift baskets to give away to three lucky readers! (Please note that you will receive a coupon for a free box of Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Chewy Bars rather than the actual snack bars.)

How To Enter

1. Leave a reply to this post and tell me why you need a spa break!
2. Get an extra entry by doing any or all of the following: follow this blog, sign up via email or a reader. If you do this, please leave an extra comment indicating what you have done.

Contest ends Thursday, March 19th - winners to be announced March 20th.

Can't wait? Fiber One is now offering a $1.35 off downloadable coupon for one box of Fiber One Chewy Bars available at: http://bricks.coupons.com/bstart.asp?o=55392&ci=1&c=GM&p=4AbZ6NPX

My accountant is making me crazy. She has been saying for 2 weeks that the taxes would be done and they never are. I'm about at my wit's end. She knew we needed them by the end of Feb for the FAFSA's and failed on that deadline. We're still waiting. Good thing I took a guess at the numbers for the FAFSA while waiting.

Happy VGNO!

Dropping by from Ann's party. I would love a spa break, to help relieve some of my back pain.

Thanks for a fun giveaway, and have a wonderful time at the party.

I'm not sure I need a spa break more than anyone else. I think EVERYONE is having a hard go of it these days! Our homes need to be a sanctuary from the outside world. Yeah I am having a go of it. We all are. But Praise God, he is with me.

I would love to win this, because I just would love to be a little pampered... but wouldn't we all!!!
Good luck EVERYONE!!

I need a spa break because it's halfway between New Years and Memorial Day which makes it only halfway through the holiday drought at work. I'm working long days spending 10 or so hours a day in front of a computer, still recovering from knee surgery, trying to convince the kids in the high school youth group at church that they don't hate the new youth guys who's coming...they don't even know him....the just don't like that the old guy is leaving and, if they'll just give the new guy a chance...just through the summer, things will be fine (I have this conversation at least weekly with at least two of our kids). And, also, it's time change week...and not the fun way.

Before sitting down to check out your giveaways, my youngest daughter dropped two flower pots that we had seeds planted in (and the plants were growing nicely) and dirt was all over the floor. Needless to say, when I tried to vacuum it up, it just smooshed down in the carpet and now half of the carpet is a nasty brown color that was once a light brown. I am 7 months pregnant and this was the last thing I wanted to deal with this evening when really all I want is my bed. Okay, so, that's why I need a spa break!
